Pre-Sales Questions

1. Are there contract lengths?

2. What form of payment is accept?
We accept payment with VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal.

3. What are your domain registration prices?
Domain registration is currently only offered for new accounts and registration is $15.99/year. If you registered a domain through HostingIt365, you can access the domain managment center at http://www.hostingit365.com/register.

4. Do you host foreign domains?
Yes. All domain name extensions are currently supported.

5. Can I host an XXX/adult site?
Adult-oriented websites are NOT permitted. Any content or links to XXX/adult sites will lead to the offending account being terminated immediately.

6. What is your policy on SPAM?
Spamming and bulk e-mail is in violation of our service agreement. Users who use unsolicited email will have their account terminated immediately without notice. A fine of $300 USD will also be charged to offending account holder.

7. Can I resell space within my own account?
No. Accounts are only for individual use (credit card holder). Reselling or Adding a "Friends" web site (e.g. bob.somedomain.com) will lead to an account suspension.

8. Do you support ASP?
No. ASP is not supported on any of our Linux servers.

9. What if I exceed my bandwidth limit?
A. Your site and all files will become inaccessible through a browser.
B. New mail sent to the account will get through provided the account has enough space.
C. FTP will still be accessible.

10. What if I exceed my space quota?
A. All pages and files will still be accessible via the web/ftp/email.
B. New mail sent to the account will bounce back to the sender.
C. New files will not be able to be uploaded.

To allow e-mail and uploading again:

D. Delete some of the files in that account.
E. Log into WHM. Click on "Quota Modification".
F. Raise the quota for the account experiencing problems.


11. Why can't I ping the server?
All servers have now been set up to filter and deny ICMP packets such as ICMP ECHO (Ping) on each of the machines main IP's. If you traceroute or ping to the servers main IP address, you will be returned with a "Timed out message". However, it is still possible to carry out traces and pings to a unique IP you have been assigned. Web monitoring software that monitors http/https connections to the server is unaffected and will still work.

12. Can I have shell access?
No SSH access is provided. There are no exceptions to this rule. This policy is to ensure that no clients have command line access to our servers in this shared hosting environment. This gives us improved server security and performance. If you need something done that can only be processed via shell, open a ticket at the Helpdesk and we'll see if we can help out.

13. Do you offer 24/7 technical support?
Yes. Technical support is provided 24/7 via our Helpdesk.

14. What are your server specifications?
Our servers run on the RedHat Linux operating system and consists of an Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz processor, 1 GB DDR SDRAM, 120GB 7200rpm Drive, and a Intel Pro 10/100 network card. Servers include the latest stable releases of Apache, FTP, SSH, bash, etc.

15. What scripts are banned from your servers?
The following scripts are banned from all servers: AlienForm (all versions), formmail.pl, Greymatter (all versions), Ikonboard (all versions), IRC Egg Drops & IRC related programs (chat software), lstmrge.cgi, Proxy Servers & Scripts (EX: nph-proxy), Shell, SSH, Telnet Scripts and Shell, SSH, Telnet Alternatives, The Anonymizer, UltimateBBS (all versions), YABB + YABB se (all versions), Hacking / spoofing / sniffing scripts / programs, and any script that uses & processes a massive number of flatfiles or large flatfile databases.

16. Do you offer a shopping cart program?
Zen Cart™ is FREE. The cart is PHP based and has a robust template system. This enables you to have a truly custom solution that integrates quickly and perfectly with your website. Submit a ticket via the Helpdesk and request Zen Cart™ be installed. We will gladly install it onto your account.

17. What are your "Terms of Service"?

18. Do you offer a money back guarantee?

19. What if I need third party scripts installed?
We will be happy to help you install whatever software you need, but realize we can't support all 3rd party software that exists. If you need a script installed, please submit a ticket via the Helpdesk.

20. Can I upgrade to a larger plan anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade to a larger plan anytime. Submit a ticket stating what you would like done. You will receive an email containing a link to our secure upgrade form, where you can enter your information and your plan will be upgraded.
